It is my duty, to protect thee, a godess of the moon. That is the will of the gods, they have assigned it to me. I was given strenght, intelligence...speed...So I could be your Guardian.
Mogli slowly got up from the kneeling, and lay down, bringing his large paw around her, creating a large, fluffy basket like area. The night was soon to an end, the day would rise very soon. The bird began chirping in the distant jungle, begining to awaken the song. Mogli hated birds, they were beasts of the sun. The woke up the day, when he was of the night.
We will have to find a proper resting place. Either a large tree or a cave. A cave is safer...I will find one. Would you like me to carry you?

Olivia looked at him from her make-shift basket. She stood up and lightly rubbed her back under his chin. She stood in front of him, I can walk or follow. I'm pretty fast myself... but being so small, there is a possibility those birds can spot me and come eat me. She laughed, and her body slightly shook from the laughing. She sat down in front of him and gazed steadily at him.

Hop on my back then, little one. And hold on tight. Use your claws, if you have to.
Mogli looked around, sniffing loudly. The sun rays beginning to light the jungle. A wet wind ruffled the many leaves. We have to find a good place to rest during the day, Olivia, because the creatures that live during the day are dangerous, they are hunters of animals, and use more then their claws and teeth. They even have skin that is hard to pierce, almost as hard as bone itself. [/i]
Mogli sniffed the air a few times, and sprinted in the tropical woods.

Olivia did as he suggested. She managed to comb her claws through his thick fur and sat, like a frog on a stump, barely noticeable on his dark fur. Then let us hope you can find the cave long before any of those come out and pick up our scent. She purred.

Mogli, not really caring for hiding his trail, crashed through the trees and bushes. He then spotted it, the river. He sprang into it, walking up the water trail. It derived from a waterfall. It would hide his scente, and Olivia's. It took several minutes for them to reach the waterfall. But Mogli did not slow down, he just walked and went under the water. All wet, he entered the dark cave. It was a long tunnel, which eventually forked into two paths. Mogli took the right way, leading him to the end of the cave. It was a large, circular room. The rock was smooth, shaped by an ancient water reservoir. Mogli let Olivia jump off him, as he briskly shaked his fur, water droplets flying everywhere. When he was happy with his level of dryness, he lay down. His tail swinging happily. His head high, proud. He looked to Olivia. This, is our home for now. I will find a place worthy of your prescence soon enough, it will be wonderfull.

Olivia jumped off him. As he shook to get dry, she was recovered with water off his fur. Once he was done, she then took her turn to shake dry. Once she finished, she sat in front of him, gently licking the pads of her feet and her legs; getting the rest of the water off. She laid down at his paws, still gently licking the water off. Eventually, she looked at his paw and licked it to get the water off. This is worthy enough. I do not need a grand place. This feels like home, just what I need. She explained and she continued to lightly lick his paw.

I will see about making this place more comfortable, maybe some leaves and moss would be good...perhaps feathers...But that will wait for tomorrow, during the night. For now, we should rest.
Mogli was a large cat, but still a cat. He stretched, opening his mouth showing his sharp teeth. He then lay down, and rolled to the side, showing his belly. He made a low, relaxing growl.
Good night, Godess of the Moon...

Olivia watched him lay down, walked over to his side, gently climbed up onto his exposed stomach and laid down. Her fur was much thinner and lighter than his and required much more heat to keep warm. He was perfect for that. Good night, Mogli, my protector... She yawned.

Mogli drifted in a wakefull sleep. The type of sleep that made you explode out of your dreams at the tiniest of noise. But, nevertheless, he had a dream, another vision. It was time to gather the panthers, to unite them. And Olivia would be the leader. But she needed dire help, his help. He would have to be her protector, he would have to accompany her through her journey. And he would, finally, Mogli had a goal in his life. The moon rose up, and Mogli felt it. He woke up, turning his head and showing his teeth, rolling his tongue over them. He slowly opened his eyes, and wondered to himself. "Was that really a vision, or just a dream..." Mogli looked to his belly, he saw a little innocent creature...So it was true...after all, today, he would call the meeting, the meeting of the panthers. Mogli simply stared at the small cat, until it would wake up. Tonight, would be a glorious night. Tonight, the western lands will shaken, the jungle will tremble, every living being here will fear the arrival of the Godess of the Moon.

Olivia felt him shift in her sleep. Her eyes slowly opened and she uncurled herself from the small ball laying on his stomach. She stretched out, her claws lightly combing their way through his fur. She stood up and lightly walked across his side, barely making any imprints in his fur and nuzzled against his neck and face, good evening, Mogli. She greeted with a purr.

Hello, little one. Today we have a big journey in front of us.
Mogli shifted from his seat position to a standing one. Olivia standing on his massive neck, he was now on his four legs. He made his way through the dark cave, following the echoing sound of the waterfall. He walked through the waterfall, getting wet all over again. It did not matter, it was raining outside. He would get wet anyway. It was the perfect time, for the gathering of the panthers. Mogli let out an awesome roar, one that made the leaves and rain themselves move away, in fear. Mogli jumped up the waterfall, going uphill to the gathering. He roared again, birds chirped and flew for their lives, monkeys and other animals awoke from their sleep and escaped. Tonight, would not be a good night to stay asleep. There were other roars in the distance, replies.
Very good, we will have company tonight, Godess of the Moon... Mogli purred to Olivia. Do not worry for territorial fights, this meeting will be the one of choosing. But the outcome hs alreay been decided. You will be, the chosen one.
Mogli walked slowly, his muscular paws slowly making their way up the mountain. It led to a large field, in the middle was a stone, it was about 10 meters high, and 5 meters wide. There was a path that led up to it, and Mogli climbed it, and when he reached the top, other panthers began to appear. Black ones, stripped ones, brown, gray, all dark colors could be named. Some were almost as big as Mogli, even a few bigger. But everyone feared Mogli, for his strenght was ultimat. He, had the Godess of the Moon at his side, and she would start the ceremonie. The army of large cats, sat down on their hind legs, watching up to their symbol of hope, their symbol of greatness. The rain stopped, but none of the panthers shook away the water, they were all looking at Olivia. They were waiting for her call, her saying, her decision, her godly word.

Olivia still sat on Mogli's shoulders. She gently jumped off and shook the water off her fur. It was nowhere near as thick or warm as the large cats. She stood between Mogli's front legs and looked around at the cats. She looked up at Mogli, wondering what she was suppose to do.

Mogli looked down at the little cat, the innocent. He lowered his head and almost touched her with his wet nose. Olivia,it is time to announce it, the beginning of a new era. The era you shall lead us to. Mogli purred, water tickling down his black fur. Mogli began to feel a little lost. Did she not know her duty? Maybe he would have to do it himself. No one would dare oppose him, but the greatness of the moment would be reduced if he spoke instead of her. Mogli roared out in the night, with the moonlight glowing on his dark figure. Goddess of the Moon! Enlighten us on our path! Our future! Our destiny.

Olivia looked at Mogli, then stepped out from under him. She changed into her human form and looked at all the wild cats. Her eyes looked up at the moon and she smiled, "Thank you all for coming." She called out, "It has been a long time since I had stepped foot upon these lands... But I'm afraid... I cannot reveal your destiny to me... The Gods have not yet allowed me to speak of such high esteem. Tonight, the stars have aligned and across these lands; your future is etched upon the sky." She stated, then looked around at all the cats.

The army of panthers roared, birds fleeing the area. The only living beasts around were anything not scared of 100 panthers, or panthers. They looked up he bright and starry sky. One could see the image of a panther, appearing. Mogli leaned his head under her hand, as he began to speak...
We will begin, by clearing these lands of unwanted demons and beast. Starting with the thick scaled lizardmen. We will clear the land, for our new era, the era of panthers. When this task is complete, or if a new one is given by our Goddess, we shal gather here again. Mogli ended with a snarl, and looked up to Olivia. The army of panthers began forming groups, as they left the small field to do the bidding, of the gods.

Olivia watched them leave with a small smile. She turned to Mogli and lightly caressed her fingers through his fur. After a few moments, she changed back into her cat form and stood between his front paws once more. She circled around his right leg, pressing against him and purring. Once she made a complete circle, she switched into a figure-8 and rubbed against his left leg, then stopped once she reached the middle. She looked up at him, still purring, You and me, then, Mogli? She asked her protector.

I would not dare endanger my Goddess, Olivia Mogli stated as he sat down on his hind legs. He looked down on the little, innocent kitty. He knew she could change into a strange form, similar to the Lizard Men. But she had no scales, and her voice was soft and gentle. The Lizardmens tongue sizzled and slithered. It disgusted Mogli.
It is, action you want, Olivia? Mogli asked her, bringing his wet nose down to her and licking her back in one big lick of his immense tongue.
We still have to find you a suitable home. Perhaps the pack will find a proper place where we can all rest together. We will be united, and not dispersed like we have been for thousands of years. Mogli could imagin it, a felin village. So against...natural instincts. But it was the will of the greater ones. And he accepeted it, for he knew it would be the stronger that would lead, and right now, it was Mogli.

Olivia went back to rubbing against his front legs. I don't need a proper home, but we can establish something for all the great cats of this world. The can come and go as they please... She added, then stopped once more and sat between his front legs. At a distance, she knew she blended in, she liked that fact. We shall have to see what everyone's intentions have been since this last meeting in a few weeks... Don't need any of the stepping out of line.

Mogli stayed seated in a proud manner. The panthers would wage war. His protégé protected in between his massive front paws, Mogli let out another roar of encouragement to the pack of panthers. This night would be the beginning to a new era... At least, Mogli hoped it could be a era, since they were going to fight the lizardmen. At all costs, he had to protect his goddess. They could not build defenses like the humanoid lizards, but they were the best at finding natural locations that could be used as a base. A cave, a meadow like where they currently were... A mountain area would be better. Many places they could stay hidden, yet they can still gather. Dear goddess, did you want to travel and fight with the pack? Or simply meet them? Or even simply state your wish, it shall be fulfilled. Mogli promised. He looked down on the tiny cat, his eyelids rarely moving.
