Xion was speechless. He knew good and well who this was. He knew good and well what he could do. . . This was his town. Whether or not he won, he would still be in deep trouble. First of all, this would be an impossible fight for him to win, and IF he did, the town around him would probably kill him after dark, with or without his consent. Dangerous...dangerous...dangerous... But if no one else accepted the challenge he was honor bound to fight it. . . Unless. . .
"HEY YOU?!" He said pointing to the scrawny man who had yelled out insults earlier. "I heard you challenge me earlier, are you still up for that?" He tried the ignorance plea, but his voice was already shaky. Maybe if he acted like he didn't hear Armal's acceptance of the challenge he could just pummel this tiny guy, he could get off scott free. If he didn't get the axe fine. He would have his honor...and his life... "So how bout it KID?!" He asked much more aggravated than necessary. "Think you could take me on?"

Angie had now stepped into the opening in the small crowd. "My captain has accepted the rite of passage and you have to honor it by fighting him." She stared into the brutes eyes. "If not than you can fight me."

The second Xion also realized the seriousness of the situation. "Yeah, Who thinks that this little guy could take him on?!" She was trying to hype up the crowd. Get their noise to drown out Armal's Challenge. They had to get this to work, cuz if they didn't, they were done for. Besides, She was SURE that the other Xion would be killed and she would have to fight Armal. . . How did that idiot always get them into these crazy situations. . .
"Come on!" She yelled. It was working, but not as well as she would have hoped. The crowd knew who Armal was too, and definitely wanted to see him fight. . . Or rather, kill...

Soon the crowd started shouting in favor of fighting armal. . . And they had no choice. Grudgingly Xion turned around.
"All right" He whispered. "You asked for it. He went into a fighting stance. He knew it probably wasn't a good idea to let him get the first move...but he was too scared to do otherwise.

Armal drew his Rapier and got into his fighting stance. "I will allow you to make the first move." He said as he pointed the tip of his sword towards Xion.

Great. Another challenge.
Well he had better start strong. He came in closely, and swung his mallet towards him from the side, hoping to catch his hand and rapier. If he damaged that, he may have a chance at winning the fight. . . Not that it mattered, he was dead anyway. At least this way he kept his honor.

At the flick of the wrist Armal had easily blocked the large hammer and deflected it into the deck of the ship. The rapier had turned out to be stronger than it looked. "That's a strong swing you have there. With a little control that can easily knock me out."

Fine, a swing won't work, perhaps a more forward attack.
From being Diverted, He wihsped himself around and attempted to grapple him. Simultaneously, he flung his hammer onto the other side of Armal, so that if he attempted to escape, he would be hit by the hammer. He attacked with all of his force. If he could grapple him, his shear size would be to his advantage.

Armal shifted his stance stepping to the side and swinging his sword downward to block the hammer. "Brute strength is nothing without the speed to keep up with your opponent." He said as he flicked his wrist causing the blade to stab into Xion's hand that was holding the hammer.

We'll see, he thought. He took the pain and grabbed Armal around the waist. "All your speed means nothing if I'm holding you" His hand bled. And he believed that his chide may have been out of character. Or respect. The pain was quite great, but today he had to do something.

Before Xion would realize it, Armal had his pistol out and pointed at his face and his sword pointed at his throat. "Looks like you're in quite a dilema."

Fletcher slipped back into the crowd....Armal certainly messed up his plans.....
"Let's see how this plays out Lyre" Fletcher whispered as he shifted into a more bulky, scarred and bald man with dark skin.
Moving around the circle, he made his way back up through the crowd.
Angie is here as well....this could be quite problematic.

Stale mate...Wait. This was GREAT!!!!!
"Argh...You win" He said letting go. He backed away from the captain. "I didn't expect that at all, and all is fair." All Armal had to do was pull the trigger and he would have been done for. At least at that range. He picked up his hammer again. "I guess there is a reason why you run this port." He motioned to Xion to get lost. "Well, If you all will excuse me..." And he began to make his way through the crowd. . .

Before the brute left, Armal put his hand on his shoulder, signaling Xion to stop. "Before you leave, I have a proposition for you."

Shivers travelled up and down his spine. "Yeesss..." He said begrudgingly. He was visibly shaken now, and just wanted to leave there alive. He was sooo close he could taste it. He stopped in his tracks at the hand on his shoulder. While he was physically taller than him, he still was quite terrified at the touch. Trying to regain his composure he said. "Any proposition of Armal's is one I want to hear."

The other Xion slipped away. She ran as fast as she could back to her headquarters. There was no way she was getting further involved. That idiot got himself into this, he could get himself out. She dodged through people and allies, silent as the wind. She did want that Axe though, For now it peaked her interest. Why would Armal want it so badly? Perhaps this was something to report to the rest of the gang. It may be useful in the future.

Celestia was surprised. She figured the challenger would be stronger, but she never expected such a one-sided fight. However, once she heard that the man "owned the town" it made more sense to her. Even if the other guy had been the better fighter, he would have still been in a bad situation. Celestia decided to stick around for a few more minutes to see what would happen next.

"Good." Armal lowered his hand to his side. "I have a friend that's in need of a crew when she wakes up." He motioned for Angie to come to his side. "I need you to check on our guest."
"Yes captain." Angie slightly bowed before exiting the ship and headed towards the center of town.

A crew?? That would mean......argh subservience. And yet, it didn't seem that bad when one considered that the alternative was death.
"Sure!" He said "Fine by me. I have 200 men at my disposal... well.." He rethought. "I have actually about 15 at my immediate disposal. I would have to consult with Xion in order to secure the rest of your crew. If that is what you wish. If not, I and my fifteen could easily join you, but the rest would be predisposed. I was thinking that wee needed a good long bout with the sea anyway"
Translation, it was time to leave. Being a crew on a ship would not be that bad. And besides, they would be able to get away from Kushiro. "When would you like us to meet our captain?" He had gotten a bit more comfortable. He was now of some use to the Captain, and wanted to milk that for all it was worth. Sure all he had to do was just kill him and find a different crew, but that would be an inconvenience to the captain. Even if all he was worth was the inconvenience, Xion was going to hold onto that for all it was worth.

His teeth nearly cracked under his frown.
"You know, Lyre, you are the only person I would do this for." Fletcher whispered, morphing into his Captain form before steping through the crowd.
"Seems I missed the party! What be all this then, Mister Armal?" Putting on a show wasn't hard, but Fletcher was rushed.
He knew that if he didn't get that axe now, it would be nigh impossible to get it again....that is without violence or deception. He needed to get it quick and get out...... he, after all, had a date with the muscley lad.
