"It seems we have a visitor." Angie gave a small chuckle. "From the other ship too." She gestured towards where lyre would be hiding but made no move towards her.

Just like tides or currents, a plan can shift. However a stickler to orders, 1st Mate Lyre remained silent. She had no orders to engage the unknowns. She instead stood there, stock still. She remained a part of the wall though not revealing her shape or face. If this girl could see her then fine. She was just not to engage the unknowns, but she wasn't hiding away because she was afraid just because she had orders to gather information, not engage. She is usually invisible to the crew as she shifted about. She checked herself again. Nope, no ripples not deformities, no marks, nothing that shows she was there......interesting.
She pumped a message back to the captain. On board the ship, next to her captain a message scrawled into the wood.
[shadow=red,left,300]"Captain aboard approaching vessel gathering information. Spotted. Requesting orders."[/shadow]
Beneath this was the following:
[shadow=red,left,300]Engage peacably[/shadow]
[shadow=red,left,300]Return to ship[/shadow]
[shadow=red,left,300]Attack[/shadow]
All the captain had to do was press his finger along whichever his order was. It would be done. Flawlessly.

Fletcher heard a strange crackling noise from the handrail in front of him...a message from Lyre. Strange how she was spotted, this can't be good, but if they already know she is there, then we might as well find out what they want.
The Captain leaned against the railing, hiding the fact that he was reading the message. He looked down and wiped the top choice with his index finger, and as he did so, it lit up Engage Peacefully then disappeared
Lyre knows what she is doing, and if they want a fight, I'd rather know now then when they are upon us.
Grasping a rope, Fletcher took a step onto the railing, letting the ocean breeze flow around him, but not like it used too. The sea is running out of time, and Fletcher needs to find out why....and he may need help.

Enouska stood a few meters from the Captain and lifted an eyebrow to his actions. Her attention turned back to the ship coming closer. In the back of her mind, a constant nagging to not trust the ship had been keeping her away from any work. Her hand curled around the railing and she immediately turned to walk towards the captain. "Captain... a quick word, if I may." She requested, then leaned against the railing, awaiting his orders for her to speak.

"Can you gather who or what she is?" Armal had turned toward Angie before looking in the direction of Lyre. "If you are from the other ship, I only wish to talk with your captain about these troublesome times and hopefully create an alliance."
"It's like there's something there, but... there isn't." Angie looked in Lyre's direction as well. "It's like she's a ghost or..." She thought for a moment before addressing her attention to Lyre. "You're somehow part of that ship aren't you?"

Looking up at Enouska, Fletcher gave a big grin and said "How could I deny a pretty lass a conversation, permission granted"
Fletcher jumped down from the railing and folded his arms, attention still towards the other ship.

Klave glanced over in the direction of Enuosaka as she called to the captain. Tch! He ground his teeth against each other. What was taking them so long? It almost felt as if the ships had slowed down. He continued flexing his fingers over the handle of the axe waiting his opportunity to properly grip and swing. He returned his attention to the oncoming ship with an anxious grunt.

Enouska looked at the other ship once more, "Sommats botherin' me about that there ship, Captain. I been on the seas most of me life, don't get me wrong... But never in my years of sailing have I ever seen a ship come from that harbor. Call me crazy, Captain, but I don't think we be trusting." She explained, then leaned on the counter. "Something about that there ship is familiar... but I don't know what yet..."

Meanwhile aboard the ship, Lyre received her orders. Finally. Instead of coming out of the wall immediately, Lyre shifted around the room a bit. She checked to see if there were any magic runes hidden in the room, checked for traps or bombs, she hated bombs.
Then out of the doorframe she came. The wood around the area creaked as her arm slowly stretched out. it slowly took on a more human hue as more of her began to peel out of the wall. Soon her foot was recognizable and she used it to take a step towards the captain. Her head rolled out of the planks of wood and her bones snapped into place. It sounded like splintering wood.
Her body began to change back into a human color, her face reddening slightly, her ax blade emerging from her spine. Her second foot left the wall, as her hand shut the door to the cabin before coming out of the boards. With the trailing hand she also reached into her back and removed the entirety of the ax and held it in front of her. Her eyes opened, and at last, the jolly roger appeared on her tattered dress' front.
"Engage peacefully" Were her orders.
Laying her Axe on the ground in front of her, Lyre stood back up and spoke. "Salutations" Her voice echoed in the room, deep and rough "I am First Mate of the approaching vessel, S.S. Lyre. It is my esteemed honor to enter the cabin of this well made ship's captain." She spoke clearly and flawlessly.
"I would like to apologize for the intrusion and unannounced arrival. However sir, we cannot be to sure of anyone in these arresting times." She said this with a bow and held her head down towards the floor. "Please forgive us if your peaceable flag was valid. For us, a lax in caution means death".
The wind blew strange. It chuckled as it went by. It gripped this ship that was now free of its haunter. The rope that connected Lyre to her ship was clearly visible. It was a purposefully exposed to show a sign of openness, a vulnerability. It was meant to boister trust. To expose all of herself was nigh unprecedented, though she seemed like this time, it was worth it. This captain was aware of her before she allowed, which meant that the two in the room, the captain and what Lyre assumed to be the first mate, were not ones to be trifled with.

"Ah, yes these are troublesome times we live in and there is no need to appologize for doing what comes naturally." Armal turned to Lyre. "And as for this ship, my crew owns three port cities in the area so any repairs that need to be made I can just stop at one of those cities." He than turned and walked to his desk and sat down. "My name is Armal and I'm not only captain of this ship, but captain of the Bloodbane Pirates. This is Angie, my First Mate and witch of the Bloodbane." He waved a hand towards Angie.
"The reason we are flying the white flag is because we would like to enter into an alliance with your captain." Angie stood and gave a slight bow. "And eventually unite the pirates in this part of the world under a united counsel."

3 port cities nearby belong to him, Captain of the Bloodbane pirates, First mate Angie, She's the Witch, they desire an Alliance Most likely one in which he is the head. Information for the captain.
Keeping her head to the ground she spoke again. "The S.S. Lyre I'm afraid, will always fly S.S. Lyre's colors."
Short answer. But Straight to the point.

More words appear on the railing of the ship [glow=red,2,300]3 port cities nearby belong to him, Captain of the Bloodbane pirates, First mate Angie, She's the Witch, they desire an Alliance Most likely one in which he is the head.[/glow] Fletcher thought to himself what goals these Bloodbane pirates have that would require the aid of other pirates. Turning to Enouska, Fletcher grimly stated "Looks like we may meet them with smiles instead of bullets, as long as they don't interfere with our buisness and put us to far behind. Prepare a boat, just in case"

Klave was on his way over to the Captain about to alert the man who seemed distracted by the fanciful wiles of this woman when he overheard the final words of Fletcher's response to Enousaka. "What?!" He growled out turning around immediately to watch the ship. He could see no cannon, no weapon, no armed men on the deck. He ground his teeth against each other. Were they serious? He turned his attention to Fletcher, glaring heatedly at him. He did not know enough of the ways of the sea to mount a reasonable argument to question this man's authority but he did know of war and the price of lowering your guard against a potential enemy. ooc: nice use of the glow, very appropriate

After hearing grunts of angry behind him, Fletcher turned around, noticing the barbarian's rage.
"There are more ways to fight an enemy than just with swords and canons, and at sea you must always be prepared. I never 'ave let me guard down and I never will, muscley lad. If we show our hand to quickly, we may spark a conflict that we cannot win, not with a ship in this shape. Just because ye see no men and canons, does not mean they are not there....that goes for the other ship as well."
Fletcher took a deep breathe and returned his attention to the other ship.
"If the need arises where me must board a small boat to go meet the other Captain, would you feel comfortable joining me barbarian.....a precautionary measure of course?"

Klave scowled at the scolding he received from the captain. The captain had read him perfectly, it was a little unnerving but he should have expected as much from an experienced seaman. He was bout to respond with a half hearted defense when he was offered the opportunity to sail with him to the enemy ship. He pasued to think at least pretending to think, his mind was already made up. If a battle had to unfold , travelling to the enemy ship would put him in the heart of it and there was truly no other place he'd rather be, however his pride could not let him so this man his eagerness to grasp this opportunity. He glanced at the ship behind them bruefly then returned his attention to Fletcher. "Aye."

"Well shall we go on deck and await the rest of our guests." Armal stood and walked to the door of the cabin. "And I'm sure you have questions." He said to Lyre as he opened the door and walked outside towards the bow of the ship. "Alright I think we're close enough. FULL STOP!!!" He called out and the crew begaqn to work, slowing the ship to a halt.

Lyre had already given her answer.
As the captain walked past her shape and out onto the deck, Lyre stared at his first mate. She was a witch. She could see through her disguises and notice her there. She was one to really watch out for. The witch of all his armada. She was undoubtedly amazing in the arts of magic. Even her own captain...
Again the wind blew. That strange chuckling wind. Easily foreboding what was to come. She could see through magic, see through Illusions. The captain would be exposed. There was no avoiding it. Everyone that came with the Captain on board would know his secret. She searched the ship and found the captain still on board. She used the wood grain on the hull of the ship to write a message on the side of the ship. She could tell what side of the ship the boat would descend from. It was his favorite boat.
So outside of the boat as it would be lowered into the water, the hull of the S.S. Lyre would read.
"I Apologize for the breech of orders Captain. However, I'm Afraid that on board this ship there lies a hole in the wall of the captain's quarters. I pray your boat holds trustworthy souls. Please prepare to protect yourself"
Fletcher may want to kill whoever he happened to bring aboard this ship if he wanted his secret to be safe. Here Lyre didn't mind exposing herself, for all those on the boat were either trusted enough to know The captain's secret and her existence, or were going to be killed later anyway.
It was time to return to her own hull. However to be polite she would wait until her captain arrived. She turned to the First mate, politely bowed again, then folded into the ground. A strange wind would blow today indeed. Many things would change upon the S.S. Lyre. But Things always must.

Fletcher brought down his spyglass from his eye, noticing the Bloodbane's ship has halted. Turning to Enouska, he ordered her to gather a handful of his most trusted and deadliest crewman of her choice. Enouska knows everyone very well, and many of the crew was hired by Enouska for their expertise in different styles of war.
Fletcher's favorite boat, called "Revenge", was made partially from some of the wood planks of his father's fishing boat and from the strange Khoha Tree, the tree that brought Fletcher his daughter. It could hold a dozen people, though that many seamen may spark a concern for the Bloodbanes, so, including Fletcher, Enouska, and the barbarian, only 4 more were needed. 4 of the best this ship bore.
That would make 8, including Lyre. Fletcher's lucky number.

Angie walked out and stood next to Armal. "Do you think that the Order of the Serpant can be revived?"
Armal looked away from his spyglass at Angie. "I hope so. The future of the pirate depends on it. Here take a look that captain and tell me if you notice anything." He handed her the spyglass.
"It looks like some sort of illusionary magic. No doubt the captain is decieving his crew." Ange looked through the spyglass. "And it seems Miss Enouska is among the crew. What a reunion this will be."
"No doubt there's a reason that he has that magic on him." He stepped down from the edge of the bow. "Let's not mention it until it's reqquired."

The air was crisp as waves caressed the sides of the two boats. The Sun beat down with waves of heat and warmth. The cries of seabirds could be heard for a hundred miles, their sound waves crept into the ears of the two crews.
Beneath the crew of this foreign vessel, Lyre waved beneath the crew on top deck. She hoped that The captain would see her message and discern what it meant. While she waited for his arrival, she simply moved around the ship ensuring that the armaments were in storage and not in use. Making sure there were not traps was her primary objective. She had to make sure her captain was safe. Tirelessly, she would search the ship until the captain arrived and relieved her of that order. The food had finally finished digesting in her stomach and came back negative. Everything was secure.
She noticed that this boat was in a much better state of repair than she was. If the captain did kill a few crew members to keep his secret safe, their salaries could be put to use making her planks shinier and perhaps she would get a new sail like this captain. She heard the captain and first mate above mention "Illusion magics" and knowing her captain they were probably talking about him. New Sail Here I come! This excited her a little, but she shook off the feeling and continued patrolling. The deck, the cargo bay, the barracks, everything not hidden by magic she knew about. And all that was hidden by magic, was the witches quarters. Sly one that witch.
